LIBORATED.COM is licensed by the British Bankers Assocation to distribute current daily LIBOR rates at 5:00 pm London time. We feature 15 LIBOR maturities in 10 currencies (150 rates).

How Current LIBOR Rates Are Compiled

The BBA asks contributor banks assigned to each of its 10 tracked currencies: “At what rate could you borrow funds, were you to do so by asking for and then accepting inter-bank offers in a reasonable market size just prior to 11 am?” Contributor banks report the rates at which they could obtain interbank loans in each of LIBOR’s 15 maturities.

How Current LIBOR Rates Are Calculated

Thomson Reuters calculates the current LIBOR rates by inputting bank’s submitted rates into a “calculation engine.” This process creates a “filtered average,” eliminating the highest and lowest quadrants of submitted rates and determining the mean of the remaining 50% of rates.
